Regional Center EB-5 program extended briefly with the $500,000 investment amount

I am pleased to report that, on September 30, 2015, Congress temporarily extended the EB-5 regional center program until December 11, 2015, under the existing requirements, namely the minimum required investment amount is still $500,000. Members of Congress are still debating an increase in the investment amount, but they ran out of time, and in the interest of keeping the program operating without a lapse, they extended the program on its current terms while they continue to debate what program changes to adopt. We cannot be certain whether Congress will reach agreement on the changes by December 11, 2015, or will just extend the program briefly again. What we do know for certain is that until December 11, 2015, we can file new I-526 petitions that will qualify based on an investment of $500,000.

We welcome any questions that you might have about the EB-5 program and the extension. Please feel free to email me at tony@immigrationvisausa.com or call me at +1 (941) 362-7100 if you have any questions.
